Andrew Ryan Named Among Top PR Professionals Under 40 in U.S.

RICHMOND, VA – December 8, 2015 – Commonwealth Partnerships announces that its co-founder and Partner Andrew K. Ryan was named among the top three best public relations practitioners under 40 in the United States today by Bulldog Reporter. The awards, which are judged by award-winning journalists from across the country, are recognized as a leader in the public and media relations industry.

During that time, he worked with a variety of political and business leaders on strategic communications initiatives and thought leadership. In 2009, he returned to Richmond, Virginia where he co-founded Commonwealth Partnerships, a boutique public relations and communications firm specializing in the real estate, senior living, A/E/C, and professional services industries. The firm has grown substantially over the years averaging a 30 percent growth rate each year.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Richmond where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude in Rhetoric and Communications and Political Science. He is Accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America and holds a Social Media for Business Certificate from the University of Richmond. His work has been honored by numerous organizations including PRSA, Hermes Creative, and Marcom.

In addition to this recognition, Andrew was also honored by PR News as one of 2009’s “15 to Watch” top PR professionals and one of Style Weekly’s 2013 “40 Under 40” in Richmond. He was also awarded the 2013 Bob Sledd Volunteer of the Year Award by Virginia Supportive Housing for his volunteer work. Andrew is currently the President of the PRSA Richmond Chapter and holds numerous leadership positions in several Virginia organizations.
